Legal Services
The Buckley Judge Advocate Office offers legal assistance for military matters and advice on various other issues for military members, retirees and their dependents. Air National Guard and Reservist members must be on orders for legal assistance. However, reservists and Guardsmen are eligible for deployment ready assistance: wills/notaries/poas.
Hours of Operation-Notaries and POAs are walk in every day from 9-3pm.
Legal assistance is available every Thursday for various subjects (some issues we cannot give advice on) on a walk-in basis from 1-3pm. Notify the receptionist scheduling your appointment of the general nature of your visit. If you are seeking assistance for preparation of your last will and testament, a will worksheet needs to be completed prior to your appointment with the attorney. The will worksheet is available at the Legal Office.

Services Offered from the legal office:
- Legal assistance on various topics but there are some limits for assistance.
- Deployment Briefings are every Friday at 10 am walk-in for deployers.
- Tax assistance by appointment every tax season and active duty members have priority.

A claims representative is on hand to accept claims, answer questions concerning claim submittals, or provide claim forms. You can turn in the DD Form 1840/R, Notice of Loss or Damage, to the claims office daily. Claims submissions for reimbursement are made by appointment only.
