Child Care

The practices of Hurlburt Field's Child Development Program are based on current knowledge of child development and early childhood education. The program's goal is to support the whole child. We facilitate children's learning in all areas of development as all aspects are inter-related and equally important. Our program embraces that children learn through active, hands-on involvement with their environment, peers, and caring adults. We respect each child's unique interests, experiences, abilities, and needs. This allows us to be responsive to and appropriately focused on each child's unique learning style and needs. Likewise, our program respects and supports ideals, cultures, and values of families in their task of nurturing children. We advocate for children, families, and the early childhood professionals within our program.

Hurlburt has three child development centers; two located at the front gate and one near the back gate with a total capacity for enrollment of 520 child care spaces.
